Being a pioneer in photovoltaic, BISOL Production Ltd. is trendsetting the present and shaping the future. Since the increase of solar cells efficiency approaches its high-end levels, it is now time to expand their size. To ensure this, BISOL Production Ltd. is introducing a product change that will be in the following months implemented into its unique and state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing process.
The new dimension of our 60-cell PV module will be 1665 x 1002 x 35 millimetres. The dimension change will influence all BISOL module types, ranging from Premium and Project 60‑cell modules, Supreme series, Solrif series, Duplex series and Laminate series. Transition time throughout which the currently existing dimensions will still be available is by the end of Q3 of 2020. Sufficient time will allow our customers to build up necessary stock and smooth transition to the new sizes. Full switch towards the new module dimensions will apply afterwards.
As an insight into the current market trend of solar cell dimensions, we would like to share with you recently published forecast on shifting wafer sizes that eventually affect the size of 60‑cell modules. From a dominant M2 size in 2019, one can notice a substantial shift to G1 size, which is larger than M2 already in 2020 and then to even larger wafer dimensions like M6 and G12. All this is in line with ever more optimized cost bringing down the overall cost of solar electricity.
