PREBOLD, 16th of August 2010 - The Bled Strategic Forum, one of the most renowned international conferences, is being organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia for the fifth year in a row, in partnership with the Centre for European Perspective. At this year's conference, to be held 29 and 30 August in Bled, the role of general sponsor has been taken on by BISOL.
BISOL recognized excellent opportunity for promoting highly technological and one of the fastest developing industries in the world. The event will most certainly enable BISOL to make new business relationships and other contacts as well.
Government representatives, business people, scholars and other distinguished guests will discuss the major challenges of the decade we have just entered. Topics such as the transition to new sources of energy, the water challenge, the future of the Internet, the role of the EU in a multipolar world, and reconnecting the Western Balkans have attracted numerous eminent guests. Among those already confirmed to take part are Prime Minister of Belgium, which currently holds the Presidency of the EU Council; Secretary-General of the Arab League; former Prime Minister of Spain and Chair of the Reflection Group; Minister of National Defence of Canada, along with numerous other ministers and high-level guests. On the invitation of Tomaž Lovše, the president of AmCham, the keynote address at the opening dinner of the Forum will be given by Colin Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State.
